Chairman’s Spring Update

To all supporters of the Hoe Valley Neighbourhood Forum (HVNF)
Over the past eight months, the Committee has been working extremely hard on your behalf to produce a local plan for the area. Since August we have been doing lots of background research on the area and our residents consultation is ongoing. We are now launching a business consultation alongside it.
Why is a local plan so important? Once it has been voted on by residents and adopted by the council, the plan has to be taken into consideration for any new development. This means we should not have to continually be fighting planning applications and appeals such as the proposed development on the Woking FC site.
We are also trying to preserve the green open spaces within our ward and to improve access for the enjoyment of all residents.
